Is this the same building that George Washington took his oath of office?

-Sorry this is not.  The originial Federal Hall was torn down in 1812 for scrap (its ashame that the National Park Service wasn't established under George Washington; maybe they would have been able to preserve the actual first capital).  The current structure was constructed in 1842 on the same location as the original Federal Hall.
